“What we want to do is make a leapfrog product that is way smarter than any mobile device has ever been, and super-easy to use. This is what iPhone is. OK? So, we’re going to reinvent the phone”
Steve Jobs, 2007
Steve Jobs reinvented the phone. With iPhone, people learned how to love their cell phones. They were standing in lines to buy the latest iPhone. Even after Steve Jobs died, iPhone continued to seize people’s attention. Some call it crazy, others call it the revolution. Whatever it is, we can’t wait for iPhone 7 to arrive.
A rebooted iPhone 7 with the new colour option, a larger camera lens and double storage is expected to go out in September 2016. Latest reports say that iPhone 7 will ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack. Fresh rumours also say that it will ditch the home button and be much thinner. It is very likely that it will cost the same as the iPhone 6S.
These are the latest Apple leaks around the iPhone 7:
Dual Cameras
Allegedly, Apple is working on a 12-megapixel dual-lens camera system. With this system, the image quality could be highly improved. It would also help smartphone narrow the gap between photos taken with mobile devices and SDLR cameras.
No headphone jacks
Apple is obviously working on decreasing the thickness of iPhone. By eliminating the headphone jack, Apple would get one step closer to this goal. In this case, an all-in-one Lighting port would support music playing and charging with Lightning-equipped headphones. Instead of the old headphone jack, the new Apple EarPods will ship alongside the iPhone 7 with a Lighting connector.
No Home button
Latest iPhone leaks are saying that Apple will kill off the home button. iPhone insiders are saying that the new model could use ‘force touch’ screen. They are also saying that iPhone 7 could use built-in fingerprint sensor instead.
Thinner design
According to the rumours, iPhone 7 will be thinner than all the iPhones before. If Apple’s current iPod Touch is 6.1mm, how thin can iPhone 7 be? Apple insiders say it will possible be between 6.0mm and 6.5mm.
Wireless charging
If lightning port is used for music playing, how will people charge their iPhone 7 with headphones plugged in? This leads to speculations about possible wireless charging that could solve this problem. But, it is uncertain which method Apple would use to install wireless charging.
RAM & Storage Space
Both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus may differ in RAM. According to the predictions from Ming-Chi Kuo, the KGI Securities analyst, iPhone 7 may have 2GB RAM and iPhone 7 Plus may have 3GB.
The return of the Smart Connector
The Smart Connector was first introduced in the iPad Pro. It was used to connect third-party accessories like the keyboard and other smart connectors. The iPhone 7 Plus may have the Smart Connector on the back.
